A Few Things To Know For This Weekend’s Riverfest

After a two-year hiatus, Riverfest will make its return to Wilmington this weekend. The festival is expected to bring approximately 60,000 people to downtown and will feature a street fair, arts & craft vendors, food vendors, a car show, a kids zone, a BMX show, and fireworks. Here’s some information that can help you have an enjoyable Riverfest experience.

Event Times:

  • Friday, October 7 – 6:00pm – 10:00pm (limited food vendors)
  • Saturday, October 8 – 10:00am – 10:00pm (street fair, car show, fireworks)
  • Sunday, October 9 – 9:00am – 5:00pm (street fair, car show)

Location of Events:

  • Food vendors will primarily be along North Front Street, between Dock & Orange streets.
  • Arts & Crafts and commercial vendors will be located on Front Street
  • Kids Zone will be at the corner of Princess & Water streets
  • Car show will be on South Front Street between Market & Dock streets
  • Fireworks will be from the battleship at 9 pm on Saturday, Oct. 8

Street closures to be aware of:

  • North & South Front Street between Orange & Chestnut streets (12pm Friday, Oct. 7 – 9pm Sunday, Oct. 9)
  • Princess Street between North Second & North Water streets (6am Saturday, Oct. 8 – 9pm Sunday, Oct. 6)
  • North Water Street between Chestnut & Princess streets (6am Saturday, Oct. 8 – 9pm Sunday, Oct. 6)

  • 2nd Street Deck:
    • Friday: Standard Rates
    • Saturday: $10 flat at entry 9a-9p – Standard Rates other hours
    • Sunday: $10 flat at entry 9a-5p – Standard Rates other hours
  • Market Street Deck:
    • Friday: Standard Rates
    • Saturday: $10 flat at entry 9a-9p – Standard Rates other hours
