The concert venue will be managed by Live Nation and is partially funded by the 2016 Parks Bond.
Riverfront Park officially opened the weekend of July Fourth and has since been steadily welcoming visitors. The Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park opened on July 16 welcoming Widespread Panic for three consecutive sold-out shows. More world-class performers are expected to perform here.
In 2013, the city purchased a 6.6-acre tract of land for North Waterfront Park. The park, located along the Cape Fear River near the Isabel Holmes Bridge, includes a large concert venue, festival space, playground, and interactive water feature, as well green space, plazas, gardens, and natural areas.
